It started as a fleeting comment driving through France in Summer 2013. It was our fourth visit to France but our first to Provence, and after consecutive days of cheese & wine and sun & swimming we said to each other that we MUST return, not for weeks, but for months. It became something we talked about regularly as our 'one day' daydream.
What started as a few months of long service leave grew to us taking career breaks, renting out the house, packing our lives into a storage unit and moving to the other side of the world for the rest of the year.
We thought we'd do it for our 50th's... in 2031.
Not for our 36th's.
And not with a 2 year old!
We've travelled a lot, typically every year.
Some long trips, and many short ones. We love finding new places as much as we love returning (too often) to the ones we love.
But this is different. This one isn't a holiday, this is an immersion...
This is Our (almost) Year In Provence!
